Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
Cyber Cat LLC ("we") makes Simply GIFs. We collect as little as we can. Here's all of it.
This website
No cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts. Like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser, the page requested, referrer and time. We use them only for security and to keep the site running, and delete them after 14 days.
The Simply GIFs app
Your recordings and GIFs stay on your Mac. Recording, trimming and saving all happen locally. Nothing you record is uploaded to us or anyone else. The app has no account, no analytics and no telemetry.
When you buy
Paddle.com is our reseller and the Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing details under its own Privacy Notice (paddle.com/legal/privacy). We never see your full card details. Paddle shares your name, email address, country and order details with us, so we can deliver your download, help with support and handle refunds. When checkout is open on our Simply GIFs page, Paddle's checkout runs on that page.
Paddle uses your email address to send your receipt and download link. We use it to answer you when you write to us and to help with support and refunds. We don't send marketing email or share your address.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising. Besides Paddle, the only companies that handle your information are the service providers that host this website and our email, and only so they can run those services for us. We'll disclose information if the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@cybercatlabs.com. For payment records held by Paddle, contact Paddle, or ask us and we'll pass it on.
If you're in the EU, the EEA or the UK, we use your information to fulfil your purchase (contract), to keep records the law requires (legal obligation), and to keep this site secure (legitimate interests). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Simply GIFs isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top.
